Dreaming sleep walkers

I had to write this one down so I never forget it! The other night around 3:00 am, Addy gets out of bed. I think she needs to use the bathroom. She comes in and says in a sad little voice. " Mom come here, come see."  Her hands are up by her mouth as if she were stifling a cry. I think, Oh No, she peed the bed and she feels bad about it.

She takes me into the bathroom and says, "Brooklyn flushed her whole self down the toilet! She is gone." She is just about in tears as we gaze into the toilet bowl.

I say, "No, honey she is in bed, its okay". Before I get another word out she runs to Brooklyn's room.
She yells out her name and grabs her arm.

Then she turns and says "oh" - walks back to her bed, climbs in and goes right back to sleep.

It was pretty cute! I couldn't go back to sleep for an hour, but it was well worth it! We all laughed in the morning, especially Brooklyn.

  1. Oh poor girl. Can you imagine if you thought your sister had flushed herself down the toilet?

  2. I love that kids immediately bounce back and we keep living it through the night.
